IOB is proud to support many international members who are studying our UCD accredited programmes. We aim to provide a supportive environment for all students, and hope that the information on this page will provide guidance on essential information as you commence your academic journey, whilst studying part-time living in Ireland or overseas.
IOB recognises that for a variety of reasons a student may need to withdraw from their programme and from being a member of IOB. It further recognises that in some cases a student may, at a later date, apply for re-admission to the programme. This policy/procedure document is intended to:
Provide students who are thinking of withdrawing from their studies with important information about what it means to withdraw, including where they can seek further support and advice.
Support students and staff by clarifying the procedures for programme withdrawal and applying for re- admission.
Programme Withdrawl Online Form
IOB students, who for whatever reason, wish to withdraw from a module, have the option to withdraw at the end of week 6 (no academic or financial penalty) and up to the end of week 12 or end of the teaching trimester whichever comes sooner (no academic penalty, with financial implications).
This Quality Assurance Handbook sets out the overarching quality assurance framework for IOB, including specific policies that support the delivery of a quality student learning experience at the standard required for a recognised College of UCD.
